Volunteers

PBSO cannot exist without our strong volunteer base. Volunteers are fundamental to every aspect of what we do. Our volunteers provide the experience and training needed frontline at our support groups. Their energy and dedication are also needed for 1 to 1 Phone Support to help parents who cannot attend our groups.
PBSO also needs volunteers to help in planning and delivering special events such our butterfly release and candlelight services. Volunteers are crucial to fundraising (think BINGO!). Our volunteer team also provides the most critical piece in our training seminars – the parent panel – as they share their personal experiences of loss in an effort to better prepare medical professional working with newly bereaved families.

This year, PBSO begins with a new and rigorous volunteer recruitment plan. It is our hope to build upon the many good things our volunteers have achieved so far. Demand for our services is growing and we need families to come back to PBSO after receiving support. We need your time, your energy, your experience and your ideas if we are going to grow forward and ensure that all families can get the support they need in their time of loss. Our PBSO volunteer team does great things. Help us. Help us help others!
