1.1.2 Our Mission: Provide Quality Support Services and Timely Education Programs The grief associated with the early death of a baby is frequently misunderstood by family and friends, and by the medical community. That’s why our mission has three important parts: i) We provide bereavement support services to families who have experienced miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, medical termination, stillbirth and neonatal death. ii) We provide educational programs for professionals and the general public so that they may be more sensitive to the grief associated with the early death of a baby. iii) And, we promote publications, research and development in early perinatal loss, in hopes of generating a better understanding. © 2004 PBSO
